Provincials 'The Dark Ages' album artwork

Winchester dark folk band Provincials released their second album in November 2019, and asked me to produce the artwork for the CD release.

The band had a very strong vision for the artwork, and not only specified the image for the cover – František Kupka's 'The Black Idol' from 1903 – but provided scraperboard illustrations and lettering to use as source materials. This was combined with more photographs, retouching, and careful colour grading, to produce a unified final product.
