Unbelievable Truth EP artwork

Unbelievable Truth are an Oxford band, formed in 1993. 'Citizens Band EP' is their first release in over twenty years. The four-track EP, released in 2025, is the first in a series of new work from the band, whose members have been deeply embedded in music both in Oxford and beyond for decades, and whose influence is far-reaching.

I was asked to create the design and artwork for this new release, to work as a stand-alone design and also as part of the wider suite of forthcoming releases. The carefully retouched and treated photograph, along with delicate, balanced typography and layout throughout, reflects the music of Unbelievable Truth which has been described as "slow, melancholy, country-tinged ballads, wrapped in a soft blanket of acoustic guitars and minor chords".
