Bodleian Libraries Digital Manuscripts Toolkit website
Responsive Wordpress website design and build
The Bodleian Libraries Digital Manuscripts Toolkit is a collaboration between scholars, developers and librarians, with the aim of making the International Image Interoperability Framework more accessible to a wide range of users. In simple terms, the Toolkit is a suite of products that allow digital images and other assets - and their metadata - to be combined and compared in order to create new resources of knowledge. The Toolkit is an open source initiative.
Bodleian Libraries asked me to design and develop a welcoming and easy-to-understand website, to provide an introduction to the Toolkit for a range of audiences. The aim is to allow potential users to understand the possible uses of the Toolkit before they take the next step to delve into the complexities of code. I worked with the Bodleian Libraries team to develop an approach to this new website, including content strategy, branding and design. The responsive WordPress website I designed and built provides an attractive and easily-navigable introduction to the Toolkit and how it may be used.
